My sources and my method
Where the site’s information comes from, how I write my reviews and how I fix mistakes.

Adopte Une Sister is an unofficial fan site run by Spidermas. This page explains how the content is made, so you know what you can rely on.
Where the information comes from
Titles, years and ISBNs: publisher records. Summaries: reworded from Bamboo’s official presentations; when the publisher has no presentation specific to a comic, the page says so or cites another source, such as a library catalogue.
Seasons, episode titles, characters: from information published by the channels (M6, Gulli, Disney Channel, Canal+, Télétoon+) and TV listings sites; episode summaries from TheTVDB’s French listings, a collaborative database.
The news section relays information published elsewhere (TV listings, regional press, comics sites). The source is credited in every article.
Availability checked on AlloCiné, JustWatch and Bamboo’s magazine, always with a verification date.
Facts on one side, my opinions on the other
On every page, information (summaries, dates, character profiles) is kept separate from my opinion. My take always appears in a box signed Spidermas, “My opinion” or “My advice”, or in a clearly labelled section in the news.
My advice on the comics is a recommendation, not a reading report: it relies on the publisher’s presentations and says for whom, in which situation and with what reservations to choose a volume. It never claims to recount a reading or a memory.
An opinion never adds a new fact: if it mentions an episode or a volume, that episode or volume is presented elsewhere on the site, with its verified information.
How I build my selections
My selections (volumes, episodes, characters) rest on three criteria: the theme or situation, what the comic or episode shows of the characters, and how easy it is for a newcomer. For the comics, these criteria are applied to the publisher’s presentations. They are personal choices, openly so, with no numerical score.
5 selected volumes, 10 episodes to watch and 5 characters, with my reasons.
Update dates and checks
Guides and rankings show their update date. Fast-changing information, such as streaming availability, carries a “Checked on …” note with the source used.
Affiliate links
Some links to Amazon are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, the site earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. This changes neither my opinions nor my rankings: a product is not recommended because it is for sale.
